"A stinging butterfly"
They met 6 years ago (1999)in the Ministry of Sound - Marcus was at the rear
end of 10 years of abuse, carried from 1989 to 1999 on a roller coaster of music,
drugs, fast cars, parties, raves, clubs, Ibiza, living in early post wall east
Berlin (in the shadow of the death star, Alexander Platz) and traveling extensively in South East Asia.

An interest in Music - Marcus owned a Korg MS20 in the mid 70's (Poor
mans Moog), formed an experimental electro band in 1990 (Geiger M1) and built
a recording studio on the top floor of a city centre office block in 1991, such
instruments as Korg M1, Roland W30 Oscar, TR909 - Unfortunately few tracks where
ever laid down as the studio degenerated into a centre for drug taking, drug dealing as a means to finance the most important thing of all "ART" and "PARTY"
with DJ's including Nicky Holloway, John Kelly, Angel, Paul Oakenfold, and many
more. Strictly guest only, these parties went in the main unnoticed by the authorities
and where only raided twice "Off party" Marcus and his girlfriend
where photographed and followed by the Police,
his house was raided and searched twice. He was arrested, released, re-arrested,
this went on for a year or so, he eventualy got bored (maybe scared), and moved
on, left his large detached house to his X wife, abandoned the studio, sold
all the equipment and left the country and moved back to England.
It was in the mid 90's Marcus recindled his natural talent and love of art,
painting and photography, mainly due to 5 months spent in a French prison. Painting
was encouraged, the art teacher was apparently famous, and considered it her
civic duty to help the less fortunate to learn to paint. It soon became obvious
to her and the other prisoners that Marcus needed no tuition, as each new work
jumped from the Paper, a Toulouse Letrec, a risky Balthus, a uniquely Marcus
Geiger, a portrate of Bruce Willis, monochrome shadow and light, a Kate Winslet
an Angel in Gold, these works still probably hang on the prison wall. As quick
as they arrived, Marcus and his travelling companion (An X Guardsman and ski
instructor) where turned out at the Prison gates, 800 mile from Le Manche, a
crumpled folder of paintings, a black bin bag full of cloths and only 250 francs
(£25) to finance the journey home. Marcus now (2007) lives in Fontevieille, Monaco and spends his time taking photos along the riviera and Mediterranean coast, and when the mood takes, oil on canvas.
